Emergency First Aid at Work

This level 3, 1 day Emergency First Aid at Work course will provide the knowledge and confidence to administer First Aid. This First Aid course designed for anyone looking to be a qualified Emergency First Aider.

Ideal for low risk sectors (offices, shops), this First Aid course will help to bring you or your staff to the level recommended by the HSE, and as a regulated qualification removes the need for you to undertake further due diligence as to the quality of your training provider. It provides training for a wide range of scenarios and by the end of this course you will have the knowledge, ability and confidence to administer First Aid.

For higher risk environments (e.g. construction, manufacturing or chemical plants), the Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work course will provide the level of required First Aid training.

Who should attend this 3 day First Aid at Work?

 

This course is designed for people who want to receive our most thorough first aid training. It is most suited to those working in high-risk environments, such as Construction sites or warehouses.

What topics are covered on a First Aid at Work course?

• Adult resuscitation (CPR)*

• Allergic reaction

• Asthma

• Bone, muscle and joint injuries

• Burns and scalds

• Chest pains

• Choking adult

• Communication and casualty care

• Eye injuries

• Fainting

• Head injuries

• Defibrillator prompts and how to respond (theory-based)

• Defibrillator pad placement (theory-based)

• Low blood sugar

• Managing an emergency

• Minor and severe bleeding

• Poisons and what to do if someone has been poisoned

• Role of the first aider (including knowledge of health and safety regulations)

• Seizures

• Shock

• Spinal injuries

• Stroke

• Unresponsive adult

Assessment:

Continuous observation by the trainer and written assessments.

​

Certification:

Successful candidates receive an accredited First Aid certificate, valid for three years.
